A Special Congrats
Bob Good, One of the Coolest Grandpas Around
I want to give special congratulations to photographer Bob Good. Bob started taking “amateur” photos only a few short years ago, after picking up a high-end camera to capture moments with his newborn granddaughter. Bob then started taking photos of the bands who played at The Warehouse (now The Warehouse Alliance) and their energetic crowds to bring attention to the vibrant music scene that thrives there.
I met Bob when he offered to share his photography to be printed in another publication I worked on. It was a natural fit that the very first issue of SEVEN featured an iconic photo of downtown La Crosse, taken by Bob. Since then, Bob’s photos have graced the pages of nearly every issue of SEVEN and four of its covers. His work is showcased at stores in La Crosse, and our local radio stations have hired him to chronicle events and fun times had by their crews. Several bands have commissioned him, and he has created some of the best shots of national acts that have played our largest venues, including American Authors, KISS, Frankie Valli, Sevendust, In This Moment, Papa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch, and countless others. Regional thespians, businesses, musicians and derby girl teams continue to fill his camera…along with his precious granddaughters (now there are two!).
We can’t thank him enough for sharing his talent. Congrats, Bob! You won #2 Best Photographer and #2 Best Local Artist in the Best of La Crosse County, and you’ll always be #1 to us!
