DIY Natural Deodorant & Lip Balm

In this course, students will learn how to make homemade, all-natural deodorant, and lip balms. Each student will take home a 4 oz. jar of deodorant and a few containers of lip balm. Come learn how to nourish your skin the natural way!

Restorative Pruning of Old Apple Trees

The science of pruning involves creating a scaffold limb system. The art of pruning consists of finding the balance point of removal. The practice of pruning requires the knowledge of how much room to leave between different sized limbs. Participants will have an opportunity to practice pruning under the guidance of the instructor.

Somatics and Contact Improvisation

Contact Improvisation is a gender-neutral social dance form based on moving spontaneously while maintaining contact between one or more people. The form teaches us how to support and be supported, how to be off-balance, what it means to feel ready, and trusting yourself all the way to the floor.

Kinstone 1-Hour Guided Tour

On every Sunday, our tour features the large Stone Circle, the thatched cordwood Chapel, the Stargazer Circle and the Three Witnesses sculpture. Learn about the setting of the standing stones in the Kinstone Circle including who they represent, what might be buried underneath them and alignments to Summer and Winter Solstice. Get answers to some common and some not-so common questions!

Basic Dairying

This class will discuss what it takes to raise, feed, and milk cows and goats (somewhat applicable to sheep). This class will cover the pros and cons of hand milking vs. a pump system, as well as some low-tech alternatives. It will also cover the type of hay, grain, and other supplements to give milking animals. The opportunity for hands-on experience will be available.
